Carl-Christian de Habsbourg Lorraine was born in Belgium and studied macroeconomics at the University of Constance, Germany and International Business Administration at the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Germany.
He descends from the Belgian branch of the Imperial House of Austria and speaks French, German, English, Spanish and some Italian and Flemish. Carl-Christian has a broad experience in private banking and asset management, having been partner, board member and ultimately CEO of Triple A Gestion SA in Switzerland, a senior private banker at Compagnie Monégasque de Banque S.A.M. in Monaco and currently a partner of the asset management firm Alternative Gestion S.A. in Geneva.
He is a member of the steering committee of Proclero, Paris, and a non-executive board member of Aurelys S.A.M. in Monaco. He is married and has four children and is a keen sportsman enjoying marathons, rallies with classic cars, ski tours and of course hunting and shooting.
